I had a piece of glass in my foot for months till it started hurting. I basicl;y dug it out with some tweezers after I realized it was some class. The scratching sound of metal on glass clued me off. My foot felt a lot better after that

Roger that.

In my left hand, when I was wayyy younger, I was putting my chair down from my desk and I don't remember exactly how it happened, but the the pencil ripped through the palm of my hand at an angle. It was pretty gross. Went to the doctor, and it healed.

In my right hand I stabbed myself with a pencil. (Again, forgetting the details.) But it's there, visible...and I'm still here.

I think I'm fine....haha, except my memory isn't what is used to be! :p

LOL now that you mention it, I've got some pencil lead in my wrist that I forgot about all these years.

Yup, it's still there.

Right knee, right on top of the knee cap.

Brother stabbed me with a pencil over 16 years ago.

OMG, how many are there here with pencil graphite stuck in their body... You lot should make a "Stupid people who stabbed themselves with a pencil" club, and start handing out membership cards and having monthly meetings.

;)

Confused <--- Pleased to say that I can't ever remember getting a bit of a pencil stuck in my body.

I have one in my right elbow. Doesn't bother me. Had one in my left foot once. That required self-surgury. The wound never healed until the point was removed.

I still have a light grey mark from when I was stabbed in 3rd grade (22 now) and then again above my right eye in 6th grade. Oddly enough they came from the same person, who I was friends with but didnt really spend that much time around him...

Next thing you know there'll be a class action lawsuit against the pencil companies for making such dangerous products that are capable of becoming lodged inside of people. Oh the horror the horror... lol....

Still got one I can see in my hand, it's from over twenty years ago.

EDIT: May as well add the story, had a freshly sharpened pencil between the fingers of my left hand, a mosquito buzzed in my face, went to clap him between my hands, and OUCH!

Wow, I'm starting to see a link between graphite embedment and inability to get with women. :Q

I was getting ready to take some standardized test, and I was around the school before it was time to start. I had 3 freshly sharpened pencils in my back pocket and though that it would be cool to try and jump and touch a beam overhead. As my arms went back and came forward with the jump, 3 pencils stabbed my right forearm. The lead didn't break off, but the dust from the graphite (because they were just sharpened) is still visible under the skin today, like 15 years later. I pwn.

That's the same thing I said when my girlfriend told me she had pencil lead in her thigh. She had it for about 12 years. She did went to the doctor and they said it'll be fine. Anyways, depend on the size of it and how close it is to the bone because I have another friend who had a bullet (are they the same kind of lead?) in his knee right next to the knee bone and he told me that it hurts during the winter when it's cold.

Here is a picture of my gf's tragedy that we just took with her digi cam.

Lead In Thigh

You got to click refresh or reload in order for it to work.

You forgot to include the rest of her. :D

Mine is in my right forearm, at one point in time I got irratatted with it and got an exacto knife and very carefull removed it, buit there is still a dark spot, so I imagine some of the graphite is still there kinda like a t tatoo.

OMG, I didn't realize this was so common.
Pencils are way more dangerous than I thought.
I'm 32 now.
When I was in 7th grade, I was sitting at my desk and a girl was walking back to her seat after going up to the front of the classroom to pick up her assignment. She was carrying a pencil and bumped into my right hand as she was walking. I thought it was an accident, but who knows, maybe she hated me.

The piece of graphite is still visible on top of my right index finger. Hasn't caused me any problems that I know about.

EDIT: at least I don't feel as stupid as those who stabbed themselves.
