i am making my own honey meade now...its stupid easy, and almost nobody has ever had meade. im seeing more of it in specialty shops now, but the selections and distribution is still pretty limited

i was making beer but...it can be a fair bit of work to really get into it, and i can get hundreds of great beers without much trouble. its hard to find honey meade, and meade is easy to make

some friends and i are trying to get some antelope for our new years vacation, we're told its good. i keep trying to get them to find some rabbit somewhere. we do lamb now and again, but never mutton, which i would gladly try, as well as rabbit. my sis got a pet bunny for her kids and every time i visit them i tell them it looks delicious

The one secret for mead is time. It really needs at least a year.

Keith's make some decent products. Never had their cider before but I do like their red ale. Nothing spectacular but it's a very drinkable ale that is a step up from the stuff you normally get from InBev products.

Indeed. They still make it at the original brewery in Halifax. Went there last year though sadly they weren't holding tours. I like their dark ale.

I'm heading up to the cidery next weekend and I'll report on my findings.

Thanks in advance. I'd like to hear about it.

Crispin is awesome - try their specialty ciders, some of them are awesome, especially the one finished in Sake barrels.

Ace ciders are hit and miss but the most dry one is really good, I forget what it is called.

And finally, Magners on a tall glass of ice is The Shit on a warm-to-hot day. It is a bit sweet but it works with the ice (let it melt a bit).
