I never buy crap just because it's cheap, but I have been popping in there from time to time when I'm thinking about purchasing something. To make a short story shorter, I visited slick deals for the first time a few days ago.

Agreed about the 1/2 page of spam not helping matters.

The thing that bothered me most is the dynamitedata thing. Although AT holds a special place in my heart, there is a lot of competition that doesn't have refer wrap every product link.

not to mention it's one of the most firewalled domains on a corporate network.

The admin have decided that any reference to a black person's race is bannable, even when you are referring to their actions, but any other racial slurs are perfectly fine. Especially if they are aimed at Jews. And a person's religion is more than fair game, its encouraged to insult whatever is most holy to those people.

I don't think I'll ever understand it. We always hear "Anand says this and Anand says that". Well what does Anand say about the admin condoning religious intolerance? How does he feel about "dots or feathers" being perfectly acceptable but "savage" is a bannable word? Targeting a person's deepest beliefs is fair game but insulting their choice in an OS is bannable?

Its stupid.

Infractions are not visible so how do you know if anyone gets in trouble? The whole "savage" thing was because people knew and were intentionally being offensive. It is always the same people. In fact that whole thread that got stickied was full of insensitive pricks making light of a very serious topic that is obviously too mature for this forum.

There isn't a need to post in reply to spam posts.

Not unless you want to increase your post count or something. But it really doesn't help anyone, and the report function works just fine.
