There was a time when refreshing a page you could barely keep up with all the topics.
Now, there are stretches of minutes between posts.
RIP OT.

We need a true off-topic, that is very lightly moderating by 'understanding' moderators

Your ad revenue would go through the roof.

Servers used to be slow as shit, so they gave 'private' servers to the people who had subs.

Also, no ads and an increased PM count.

I used to be one.

And ATOT died when they split up the forums into L&R, Garage, and Health. The healthy dose of trolling, light humor and stupid banter that went back and forth with those topics made AT fantastic. Now it's just...4chan lite, really lite...like, without any of the funny lite.

EDIT: I should also add that the famous "Change of culture" threat by the Mods is to me, the start of the epic fail that ATOT has become. So many good posters banned/left in the following days and weeks that it just became crap.

Ah yeah.. that too. I never had a sub so I never got to experience it :p

Nowadays I spend most of my time on Reddit...

I liked AT better when there weren't so many subtopics. A little crazier, but definitely more entertaining.

It's been trending that way for some time, some of the crazy rules don't help.

Some of the sub forums are pretty active and there are some great posters.

that was the main thing that drove people away
