ATOT guitar super-friends

So, I successfully bought a guitar from reverb. I've been after one of these for 15 years or so, but the timing or price was never right.

Here's a pic of one I snagged off the internet.
Why didn't I just take one of mine? Because I'm in Canada right now, and I had the guitar shipped to a friend's house in the US. I'm flying back on the 13th, so I'll get to finally try it out.
Any of you ever play a Yairi? They're honestly my favorite acoustics.
Related note, my friend bought a Taylor 814c (one of the best sounding acoustics in the world IMO) at almost the exact same time that I bought my guitar, and he did me a solid and did side by side recordings of the two. He didn't tell me which one was which until after I told him which recordings I like best. I can try to make that file available if anyone is interested.
Can't wait!

Congrats on the new guitar! My wife plays acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, and banjo.

This is the guitar on her wishlist, a Stauffer type parlor (romantic) with two free bass strings. We haven't found a price on one yet but I suspect one costs more than our car.

What does that actually get you? Looks like just 2 notes since there's no back for half the length? Doesn't seem like something you'd want to slap.

It gets you two bass notes to accompany your regular playing. It adds quite a bit. I'll see if I can find a video.

You should go full-on and get her a harp guitar.

They go as low as $500-ish on ebay. Andy McKee has a great video playing one
