Seeing as threads don't renew itself nearly as fast as it once did due to the now declining AT population I would educate a guess that many like I refresh their browser too often with disappointing results. So without further ado, I present to you a filler thread that under normal conditions would be rather too off topic for discussion as to pad the time in between new thread posts as it were to stimulate the mind and promote longevity that is ATOT. OK here goes:

08/28/2009
52: Number of cards in a deck but also the number of weeks in a year.
Coincidence or conspiracy? :Q

I don't know about you, but I'm 100% certain the government had a hand in this.

What are your thoughts on the number eight?

Well lets see,

It's symmetrical when in numerical form...
Means infinity when written sideways...
Is surprisingly after the number seven. :Q

it might be better to go glory hole style. Seeing the troll on the other side of the wall might be counter effective.

Eight is a great number because it's a homophone of the past tense of the verb "to eat," which allows for ridiculous jokes such as the numeral seven consuming the numeral nine. Numbers eating numbers? Absurd!

Also, eight, by being a homophone for "ate," represents a sound used frequently in the English language. Therefore, the numeral eight can be substituted into words with this sound giving them a unique appeal and making them simpler to fit on license plates (pl8s). Some examples include gr8, replic8, masturb8, and t8-a-t8.
