Okay here is the deal...

I got the following cards:
platinum card ($2500 credit limit), 0% APR and i owe them about 300 bucks, that'd be paid off really soon.
student card ($700 credit limit) don't really owe them anything
a secure card ($300 credit limit), i'm gonna get my 300 bucks back soon...

i'm 20, in college and i checked my credit score before i rented an apartment and that score was 680 something. I have no income but I'll be working over the summer... I don't know, which cashback card is worth a shot?

right now i'm using discover where you get like 1% cashback or something, 10% off certain grocers (till june), and 5% gas (first $1500 and the rate reduces every $1500 or something like that).

if you're still interested go to fatwallet's finance forum, type in "discover" in the search field and look for the gas and grocery posts.

Yeah I like DiscoverCard and have had it since I can remember. I'm up to $180 on cashback for the last 2 years... FREE MONEY! :D I put a $4k deposit on a reception hall the other month and got back $40 just for using the card. Gotta love it. They also have a gas card which is opposite of their traditional 1% policy... the traditional card - I think you have to accumulate about $1000 for the year before you actually get 1%... a fraction of a percent if it's under that figure. For the gas card, it's the opposite... $0-$1000 is 1%... after that, it's less and less. Don't like that idea.

For gas, I have the AAA card anyway... gets 1% back on all gas purchases with no stipulations.

Anyway, for the Discover cashback... you can apply it to special stores/restaurants that double it... say you apply $40 for a Sharper Image certificate... it's actually good for $80 worth of stuff. Gotta take advantage.

I like blue cash...I blew threw the tiers so I'm earning 1.5% on everything. The only other thing that really comes close is selling southwest airlines rapid rewards tickets...
