Having been to Kenya, and saw with my own eyes how far people walk for water just to survive, I can attest to what a good cause this is. Made a donation. Best of luck with the race, OP.

Hoping the ATOT effect comes through for you.

$$ There's a nice boost for the cause.

We flush cleaner water than that down our toilets. :\

Still a big thank-you to those who have contributed or shared this post. Jeff7... Donations I believe are still accepted up until the day of the marathon. Those bored this coming Sunday and want to track me along the way, this link will give you an idea of where I am during the course of the morning with the timing mats.

Hell, Jeff, you just should have kicked in the $1200 on day one.
Why, sir, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

:whiste:

I live in a building with clean water available in several locations, in 2 different rooms, some of it even heated to a temperature of my own choosing, and it's all damn cheap. The water company doesn't even charge by fiddling little quantities like a gallon - it's sold by the CCF (100 cubic feet), about 750 gallons. Or there are several stores nearby where I could walk to or drive to and buy get more clean water in a variety of brands and packages, room temperature or refrigerated, or even frozen in bags. How much do I have to worry about getting violently ill from any of it? Not enough to even think about. What's dysentery? Oh yeah, it's that thing they'd get in the Oregon Trail game.
It's opulent luxury here by comparison.
