Finally got it perfected. Gaining a couple of percentage points a minute, up from 21.4% to 34%. I'll cut it off once we're in the lead and let the rest take care of itself naturally.

Hmm - maybe my ire was misdirected. 1000 seems pretty attainable if you had say, a whole school voting for you.
