When is CS2 coming out? Hopefully Valve will learn its lesson and fix all the stuff that was wrong in the first one.

You do know that CS was just a mod for Half-life??

HL2 is in the works, I don't remember when it's scheduled to be out.

The gearbox guys came into my store a few weeks ago and told me that Valve demo'd HL2 for them... and that it was bloody fckn amazing.

CS2 = nonexistant. I hope they don't bastardize the game anymore

CS was just a mod, but Valve bought it or something. They began to sell it retail when it got to version 1.0. Condition Zero is currently scheduled for Feb '03, I think. It HAS been delayed many times before though. CZ will be based on a modified version of the HL engine. If you ask me, they shouldn't try to make it so realistic. I think CS was much more fun when people could bounce around all over the place. Now it's still not realistic, just stupid. People don't stop when they jump a few times, but they stop when they get tired after a while. Stamina meter is the best idea if you wanna make it realistic, I think. If they wanna make it realistic some weapons in CS would have to be changed too, like how the AK is ridiculously accurate even though it has a rather short barrel. Anyway, I'm definately getting CZ.

I've been a huge fan of CS for the past 2 years and it was a great game. But its reign has ended and now it is time for Battlefield 1942.

I think that battlefield 1942 is totally going to make CS nearly extinct. Its such a good concept and game....


CS introduced the mass public to the idea of online gaming. Battlefield 1942 is taking it one step further by adding team work, vechilces, and massive war.

I'm thinking that ATOT could possibly start up a BF1942 team (I hate calling them clans) once the full game is released!

I've been playing Half Life online with most of its mods now since its inception.(TFC,Oz,DoD,CS etc etc) They've hemmed and hawwed about when HL2, TFC2, and the like were coming out...and always was met with the same sudden enthusiasm then the project would do a "Daikatana Nose Dive" and you wouldnt hear about it for like...3 more months. They(Valve) have had ingame pix, and manuals released to step up the hype, yet always it would suddenly drop off the face of the earth until some game site or magazine would start asking about it. If they do bring it out, it sounds like Valve was actually smart enough to start buying up most of the good mods for it, one can only hope we'll get upgraded versions of those to play online with HL2.
