If I want to make chicken legs with rice in an oven, should I boil the rice before or just cook together with chicken

Depends on how liquid you will apply, if you add enough liquid you can cook them in the oven. But normally I would cook them before.

no, not impossible, you just might not get it right. I would boil the rice first, then bake it with chicken. just keep an eye on it and put some water on the bottom of the pan.

It might be better for some of juice and seasoning to drip onto the rice. Depends on what kind of sauce or flavoring you are using though.

You definitely can do them together. There are plenty of recipes that call for rice, chicken thighs, and condenced soup (cream of mushroom, chicken, celery, etc.).

The basic recipe for cooking rice is one part rice, two parts liquid. If you've got that much liquid in the dish, the rice will cook fine. Yum.
