hmm i just noticed that, WV is 10 and 11 in the AP and USA Today polls, but thier avg for all 23 rankings is 29. Perhaps they are hype?Originally posted by: SP33Demon
Your link is highly misinformed, not to include No. 12 West Virginia (who Lee Corso picked to win it all, let alone the Big East) is ludicrous.
Thanks for the laugh. I think over the years, Lee Corso has had the worst record of predicting winners of any sports caster. One could make a great living by betting on the opposite team that Corso picks. I'm not saying anything about West Virginia, but about Corso.Originally posted by: SP33Demon

wasnt that bad, once i got the 1st place one done, it was all just clicking from the autofill drop down list in IE.Originally posted by: dullard
Looks like you put a lot of effort into these polls.
oh c'mon, I do another one next week, its not like you have to stick to your votes all season. But I'm not going to vote. Until I see each one of those teams play THIS YEAR, I refuse to go off of assumptions and guesses to claim that one team is better than another.
I agree, USC didnt play all that great, they kinda played the "wait for the big play" strategy, not Championship material, IMOFor example, USC has the talent and they won last weekend. But they looked sickly and vulnerable. They'll probably finish top 10, but who can say exactly where until I see the other top 10 play.
I freaking hate Lee Corso, and traditionally he has always hated on WVU... but maybe the stars are realigned this year, or he's a Klingon? He also picked WVU at Pitt as the "Game of the year" which is mind boggling as well considering that Pitt sucks this year and UMD@WVU is clearly going to be WVU's biggest game... Even though WVU and Pitt hate each other, it will hardly be a contest in this year's "Backyard Brawl".Originally posted by: dullard

Hardly hype... they have an O lineman returning from when they set the Big East rushing record, and are extremely deep at the RB position... their QB only needs 353 yards rushing to break McNabb's Big East record, and he's a senior. Their best receiver Henry is 6-4 and causes matchup nightmares because of his height. Their main weakness will be at LB, where they lost a couple of seniors last year, but their line is pretty solid.Originally posted by: Train

No, they play Maryland, an underrated BC (see link below for top 5 underrated teams), and UConn in their new house. They also play@VT who almost took it to USC, so it's not going to be a cakewalk for WVU.Originally posted by: Train
so your saying they have no schedule? thats even worse. MAC teams have tougher schedules than that. They will get thier "automatic bid" and get placed with Miami(OH) or whoever else gets the At-large bid, and then will get embarrased on Bowl day.
5 That Are Just About Right:
USC (1,1); West Virginia (11, 10); Wisconsin (22, 21); Boise St (28, 30); Notre Dame (NR, NR).
Ok, so if I polled 30 of my friends what they thought the top 15, and took an average, it would be more valid than ESPN/AP/Coaches top 15? lolOriginally posted by: Train
 ahem Avg of 23 Polls
But if your still convinced, good on ya I guess, we'll see in a month or so.
