If it's an easy class that you KNOW you can pass, fine. Not going to difficult classes like calculus or physics or something is asking for trouble.

I feel no remorse for those who don't attend classes.

I didn't go to one single Physics class this quarter, but for the midterm, i scored in the top 3% of the class. Why go to class if you're going to get an A anyways?

Plus, I know all of us has faced that one time, when you have that 9am class, and you wake up around 8:30... only having gotten maybe 4 hrs. of sleep, and that 50 minutes of class pales in comparison to that extra 1.5 hrs. of sleep you'd be getting.. and you zone back out and go to sleep. Happened like almost every day.

As a rule, I skip lectures if I can do the homework before the lecture...
I only went to one maths lecture this term and it was the most pointless experience of my life (although the lecturer looks like sideshow bob. which is nice.)

and falling asleep like that is fine, once. but if you do it over and over again to the point where you are missing up to 25% of your classes, you have a problem.

I hereby vow that next quarter, I will go to more than 25% of my classes.. in fact, I will go to at least 80% of my classes!

Who's with me?!

(this is also what i've said every finals week, and so far nothing has come up :()

i would say i was with you, but i've skipped 80% of my classes the last year. my GPA blows ass, but hell i'm graduating in 2 quarters why start going now. i'm a compsci major, there are like 2.5 girls in my classes, and well no one talks in a language other than chinese. class... bah

nah the .5 is for the girl you arent quite sure about.

i had a 90 in class
the final is worth 50
if you do the math, i only need 5 on the final to pass the course

the prof has this rule that you need to pass the final to pass the course

i bombed the final.

my transcript will say 49 when i prolley got 70something

and i have to retake a class i was getting a 90 in until the final.

The only class I missed this quarter is because I was involved in a car accident and police took forever to get there :(

I live off campus too, you are just too lazy to go to class :p

I have no sympathy for you.

I've been to all but 5 chemistry classes this semester.

I don't understand the prof, can't read the writing on the chalk board and what he does is simply copy stuff from the book.

I used those minutes constructively by actually reading the book :)

If you can use the formulas, then you're diong well. Civ is useless and we'll forget about it in 2 weeks anyway. Its not like you'll ever use this knowledge in ECE....
