Anyone here drive a nice car or do y'all just drool about it on ATOT?

350Z = Offspring of an AudiTT and Acura CL :)

I don't know how many they'll make but if they make a lot then it looses it's appeal. Think those new Celicas. God ugly little cars I see everywhere.

EVERYTHING is relative.

I'd love to have an anti-ricer (mostly Celicas and Preludes I hate) sticker

and

Laker personalized plates

and

a CAL alum plate holder

but

it's not gonna happen cuz I don't want my car vandalized (not geographically or demographically advisable here).

Irony = not having time to wash my own car but not trusting anyone else to do it = dirty car

Funny = look at my new Accord = 200+ posts

END RANT.

Cars are important because, although they do nothing in reality, they can in ones imagination cause ones dick to gain one to three inches in length depending of type, displacement, quarter mile time, etc. You are what you drive. Every serious and thoughtful person knows that and is waiting just outside to judge you the minute that car door goes kathunk.

It's interesting to observe the fascination with cars while at the same time listen to all the objective and independently arrived at political views on the board. Where is the understanding that the modern American is nothing but the detritus and repository of millions of commercials.

It's the same imagination that let's some pretentious, snobby, elitist, wannabe intellectual look down his nose and sit in judgement of the "modern American" while telling himself how much more enlightened and intelligent he is and the rest of us are all lesser beings. Get off your high horse moonie and come down here and wallow in the mud with the rest of us pigs.

Have you never had the enjoyment of driving a nimble car (preferably a convertible) on a narrow, winding road on a Spring day?

I live at the base of the Rocky mountians so yes I have... not a convertable but a 92 LX which according to the kiddies is not nimble, but in real life it is. I get more excitment on the track though. but thats more real life stuff again... don't want to bring that up ;)

Main point is I'm tired of kids who think they know what Auto technology is and then it comes out to be something as old as the dinosaurs (OHC motors are a big example here also getting XXX power per liter... it's called compression, been around forever)
Gotcha!!

I bet we could have quite a discussion about some of the "new" technology that's been around for years. I had a '59 Jaguar that had a DOHC engine and four wheel disc brakes, and both those technologies had been around for years before that.

Got boost? :)
