I just bought these for my dad, as a Birthday Gift next week.

BestBuy Link

I did some research, and these seem good for the Reciever we have. (An older JVC, that's not SUPER Powerful, but not bad.) We already have surround sound speakers for movies, but he listens to a lot of music, so I wanted to get some good sounding music speakers. I went to Best Buy, and heard them, and liked them a lot. I read good reviews.

And, I got them for under $500 for the pair. (I didn't buy it from Best Buy.)

I mean, it's too late anyways. But what do you all think? I guess looking back, I should have posted this BEFORE I bought them :p

that is a fantastic gift. In years past, and still with their computer speakers, Klipsch was just a little too bright for my liking. but the newest stuff they have out for their home audio really is radically improved.

THey are a little bright still but the average person won't care....it can easily be fixed by adjusting hte treble anyways.

The bass on other hand....:D...no adjusting needed:cool:

That's pretty nice. My dad loves his A/V stuff so I know it'd be a big hit with him :)

If I wasn't taking my dad deep sea fishing, I'd definately go the A/V route for his birthday. :)

Sweeeeeeeeeeet. Thanx for the input.

I hope to have them delivered home without him knowing, and have them hooked up when he wakes up on his birthday.

Well, I am sorta going "big" for his birthday, because I didn't really do much for him this year, when I first got a job. (I wanted to get him something really nice, sort of like a "thank you", once I could afford to on my first job.)

So, making up for it. After this, funk that :p, no more gifts from me!
