To make this deal even better...........I found a stack of booklets at the Radio Shack counter that has a valid (not like Canon) coupon for $5 OFF ALL remote controls!

I got mine for just over $26 including tax tonight. Look for the coupon booklet, similar to what they offered last year, but this one relates to Nascar I believe.

LOOK for the coupon booklet!!!
 
Got mine all configured and tossed all my old remotes in a draw. I'm a happy man! Works with my Tivo like a dream. Did I understand correctly that the JP1 will work with this? That would be ideal. The only thing I can't get it to work with is my old 3M home theatre system. If I could configure it directly, that would be sweet!

I've got the RS 2003 Nascar coupon booklet in my hand ("2003 Xtreme Fan Guide"). The only remote coupon I find says "$5 off any regular-priced remote" But if you were able to use it on the discounted remote, more power to ya 🙂

The 2116 is black and pretty long, I'm just glad that it has PUSH BUTTONS instead of touch screen.

Unless you always watch TV or listen to music in a well lit room sitting up, trying to use your remote has a PDA (tap tap tap) is not my idea of easy and convenience.

I wondered about that, but from what I could see, $29.99 IS the regular price.

There was no sale price listed anywhere for the 15-2116.

I hope that helps.
 
If it weren't for that damn coupon, I'd rip open the packaging now and starting fondling my new thick long black toy, argh!

I even have 4 fresh AA rechargeable batteries ready to go (thank you Big Lots - price $4.99).

Sorry, I just misunderstood.

When you said "To make this deal even better", I thought you were referring to the "deal" that this thread is about (IOW, the touchscreen remote) I didn't know that you were talking about the 2116.
 
man, i want one of these babies for my new replaytv unit that's on it's way here as we speak,

only problem i have is that the stores i called had it at $65, will they pricematch another radio shack in the area if that store confirms that the price is $29
 
ugh ok, i just got one of these because i was curious and bored, but now i regret being curious and bored because now i have to return it. it's just not the most convenient remote thats all and slightly over sized, it's definately not one of those one handed remotes. besides all i got is a vcr dvd and tv so i don't think i need this thing that bad.

Which did you get? The touch screen 2107 or the 2116?
 
What I need is a remote control for my remote control (or at least something that can locate the thing when it is lost). My two little kids run off with that thing every day.

Good deal though. Picked up this controler today.

got the 2107 last night...had 3 left 🙂
dont know if i will keep mine thought.....have to switch back to tv when ever i have to raise the volume for replay or dvd, also didnt really figure out how to get my vcr to work because i using the the replay code for the vcr slot.
nother thing was...i opened it up.....looks brang new.....opened manual someone had written codes in the back leaving me to believe that it was a return:Q
 
ok, 2 problems please help.

how do I get it to work with X10? the code is entered correctly

it won't work with my sony receiver. i have the newer silver one that comes in the theatre package (the big one, not the small one. i have tried all sony codes 3 times.

if anyone has any ideas, please pm me.
