Question Atomic Heart (So Expensive!)

This is kind of a rant, so if it triggers you, ignore me.

I really like the game Atomic Heart. Played the demo to death and watched some videos on YouTube.

The post is about its price. It just doesn't fall below $30 even though it's been out for a long time now. I mean, who the hell do these people think they are? Many other games which came out approximately the same time dropped to $20 or below already, but not Atomic Heart. It's kind of like Blizzard games, which stubbornly hold their prices firm for a very long time regardless of quality. But even Blizzard was forced to start lowering their prices lately on their Diablo IV game.

I am well aware Atomic Heart is on Gamepass. But Gamepass is not Steam. 'Nuff said there.

If we are going to talk about quality, Atomic Heart is excellent, but it is not better than Metro Exodus for example... Yet Metro Exodus could be had during sales as low as $5 already!

What the hell gives?!

Agree but i think because of its popularity and success they holding the price firm for now. By the way it did go on sale during holidays. Also you can't really compare Metro to Atomic Heart they are different games. I like when someone said on their review on Steam that Atomic Heart is Bioshock in Soviet Union
Now based on that I really want to play a full game but also waiting for the price to go down.

I've heard of Atomic Heart but know next to nothing about it. That being said, some developers simply don't want to offer sales because they truly believe their game is worth the asking price. For the longest time (I waited years), I refused to buy Rimworld because it never went down in price and finally I just bit the bullet and I'm so glad I did. Considering how many hundreds of games I've purchased for less than $10 simply from waiting for them to go on a decent sale, I figure if the game is worth full price, I'll pay full price for a few.

You can play a demo of Atomic Heart on Steam but it's a bit short (I am surprised that we still have demos for some games)

It's on Xbox Gamepass PC $10 for a month. Some other good games there too. Should be able to get through several if you have the free time. May be why the game holds value; to entice people to try Gamepass?
