I have one of these and the only problem (at least with mine) it is very slow to sync up. It took about three days to get the time set. What is up with that? Don't really understand how it works, but I though it would be instant.

If you put it near a window it should link up overnight. It does not just automatically set the correct time - the clock has to wait for a "renew" signal from the source. And if you keep it in your bedroom you will every so often have to let it reset itself by putting it back in the window. The time itself will not change that much, but the "connection" indicator might power off.

My wife picked up the Walgreens $10 father's day SkyScan. I waited 30 min before I went to be for it to sync but it wan't till morining that it has synced. I wouldn't recommend this model since the timezone set is confusing and the button is located where it's likely to be hit by accident. But for $10 I really shouldn't complain.

I really wanted the gold Seiko though. And the LaCrosse with moonphase.

atmoic clocks sux, there's a broadcasting station in gaithersburg, md. the official national institute of standard technology which is about 20~30 miles from my house. and i cant even get the sync from my house!!! so you can say atomic clock sux

Atomic clocks are great. I live in MA and have not trouble getting the signal to sync my clock.

I recently refurbishes an old wooden mantle clock that was dead. The exterior looked nice but it just didn't work. The clock wasn't valuable so I ripped out the guts and replaced it with a battery operated atomic movement from Klockit. They also sell the hands as well as non-metalic dials (for better signal reception).
