These clocks sync with atomic clock broadcasts so you never have to.

$12.99 SkyScan at Walgreens (spend $50 get free shipping)

$15.99 Timex Clock Radio from Overstock

$19.95 Off brand from Jeweler's Mall that looks decent.

$19.95 .LaCrosse with Moon Phase from Sierra Trading.

$29.95 Gold Seiko

$39.95 Silver Seiko from SharperImage.com plus there is a $20 off $60 coupon floating around. It doesn't say Seiko but it is

man are these things useful when the power goes out... like it does here... all the friggin time... like yesterday... damn detroit edison pieces of crap.

In-store Walgreens has a model for $10 as a Father's Day special. This also has an indoor thermometer.

I'm sure you all know this, but since you have access to the Internet, you can get the correct time at http://www.time.gov/.

also have it on line... do a search for clocks. Also, the desk wall clock with 7" Display has date and temp. Tho it says the temp is 793!!! It's hot at the factory. Too bad it's out of stock but shipping kills the deal unless you really want to spend 50 bucks at wallgreens?

Very nice post tlowing.......welcome to the AT forums........

I went with the Lacrosse w/moon phase - I bought another one w/moon phase but it was much too big for my nightstand so this is just about right. Total cost w/shipping from Sierra Trading was $25.45 but I could have taken a cheaper delivery option of $4.50 instead of the $5.50 I chose and save a buck.

free shipping in my save now! pop out thingy..
so i don't think it is illegal to post them here .. i think ...

how visible are the backlights? is it really a backlight or is it just a tiny light bulb on the side of the screen? 😕

Is the backlight on all the time or only when you push a button? I'd prefer it to be on all the time so I can put it out of the way and still be able to read it when I'm up late with most of the lights out. 🙂

Oops, meant for the Silver Seiko.

All the ones I linked turn off when not in use (alarm going or pressing snooze/light). What you wany want to look for is a projecting atomic clock like this:

$23.95 LaCrosse Projection Clock.

One problem you will encounter is that most projection clocks have power cords. One exception is the Oregon Scientific model RM888PA.

$41 Oregon Scientific Projection Travel Clock -you may want to search for other suppliers.

If you want to search for other projection clockes search "atomic projection clock" on Google. If you find a part number try searching Froogle.Google.com for lowest prices.

FYI Costco B&M is often a good source for RC clocks. As always it's a YMMV but keep your eyes open near all the clock radios and TVs area.

There are plenty of atomic clocks that show the outside temperature. Do a Google search (or your favorite search engine) for atomic clocks and I am sure you will find them!
