ATM machine ate my bank card

I put my bankcard into a Wachovia atm machine, then fill out my deposit slip. I didn't enter my pin # in then the machine spit the card out. When I was done with filling out the deposit slip, the machine took my card. Went in the bank and ask what happened, the lady told me the machine schredded my card. Now I have to call them and get a new one.

🙁

haha, that happens. At a Bank Of America ATM.. my friend forgot to take his card after finishing transaction.. when he went back like a minute later (drove out ...drove right back in), it was gone and nobody took it.. nobody was around that time.

i have both forgotten my card at the atm and had it sucked in and never give it back - both times i had to call and get new cards, any kept in the atm are automatically destroyed

They do it so people don't steal your card.

Don't put the card in unless you are making a transaction.

I was hoping I can get it back at the bank. But no, the damn machine schredded my card.
