Which DFI board is that with the Athlon 64 3000+? I'm hoping it's not the K8M800 board listed at Outpost...

What's the verdict on those BTC DVD burners? I need to stick a bunch of Digital8 video onto DVD and $50 is a nice price point.

Outpost.com has the Toshiba SD-R5272 8X DVD+/- for $60, but it's an online-only deal + S&H. I also haven't heard great things about the Toshibas

I have one from an Office Depot deal a while back and it's great. Solidly built, quiet, reads anything I throw in it. I was leery at first but I'm satisfied now.

25 pack 4x dvd-r for 7.25 not bad at all. frys sj has em hidden between the computer displays and software section in crates of boxes:p beats paying 4.50 for 50 cd-r's if u calculate gigs per buck.

Well, I went and picked up a BTC 8x and a 25 pack of the GQ DVD-R's (they were OOS on the shelf, but someone had placed a few boxes from a flat of them, unmarked, right behind the shelves).

Hopefully the results will be satisfactory. From reading these forums, it's apparent that GQ ("Great Quality") is somewhat of an oxymoron. Still, for $7.50, when the label said $19.99, I'm not going to complain... especially when a 10 pack of the main brands were costing about $9 to $12.

Update:

I went today to get one PNY 6800GT, they were already out of stock.
But they gave me a rain check for the advertised price.
So if you need one make sure to ask for the rain check, they expect more stock by the end of next week.
