No sh!t, I mentioned it because it wasn't the south.
Link for you. Maybe this is more outdated than I thought.
Another one.
Anyway, it's the June 7th issue. They have a very informative map of county-by-county BMI statistics. And the point is, it's you Southerners and other folks east of the Mississippi that are all so fat. Not the US as a whole.

who cares about doughnuts?!? what is it with americans and brand mania? its like the japs go mad for things for a while then go to the next thing. americans go for food brands then drop them. sunny delight had this a few years ago, but the product was nothing, just some cheap orange-like chemicals.
it mystifies me.

Krispy Kreme sucks compared to Lamars (overland park, KC metro area)
Actually, it sucks compared to any old fashioned donut place.

KK stock is tanking badly..
they grew too fast...
when I was still in the bay area, KK is considered VERY special, since you have to drive down to silicon valley to get some. Now they are EVERYWHERE...
that coupled with the low carb diet fad = tanking KKs stock

So basically Texas is full of fatasses?
And you epitomize how ignorant many Americans are. THEY FVCKING TASTE GOOD!!!! The point is to enjoy yourself. Yeah, obviously you should eat them in moderation, but I'll be damned if I'm going to stop eating KKs for the rest of my life.Originally posted by: jpeyton
KK was never meant to be as popular as Starbucks, even though their greedy owners wanted to expand it just as fast.
You can attribute some of it to Atkins though.
I'm glad they have to shut those fatty-factories down. KK epitomizes how fat we are as a nation.

I return to my college town (Charlottesville) and the best doughnut place in the entire world, Krispy Kreme, is gone! How DARE Atkins challenge my eat-them-as-they're-made-gooey-deliciousness?!?
Seriously, is KK really doing that poorly these days that they have to shut down? They're tons better than any alternatives and I've never been by one that wasn't making a sale at that moment.
