ATI Roadmap updated - 8:14 pm EST - diesel [Comments (0)]
RADEON MAXX - 128MB, to be released in late October.

RADEON II - 2 times faster than RADEON, full DX8 part, programmable TCL engine, to be announced within 6 weeks and will be available in early December.

RADEON II MAXX - Dual RADEON II setup based on ATI's AFR technology, to be released in Spring 2001, 3 months after RADEON II release.

RADEON PRO - 4 times faster than RADEON, 400mhz core, 0.15m, enhanced rendering architecture, will be available in the summer of 2001.

mobile RADEON - to be announced late this year or early next year.

RV100 - value priced Radeon, to be announced this month, shipping in November.

integrated North Bridge with RADEON technology - to be announced later this year.

SOC part - system-on-a-chip product is scheduled for Spring 2001 release aimed for the low-end desktop and consumer electronics market, includes integrated processor, audio, graphics, etc...

I hope Matrox's G800 has some undocumented features, because I'd really like to buy one of their products instead of ATI's.

don't worry about it too much...i'd hate to see how much that board costs if it has 128 megs of ddr ram

i would problably guess out of reach for most

Either way, the Radeon 2 will not compete with the NV20. Radeon 2 MAXX will, but not plain Radeon 2...

LOL, don't get me wrong I have some ATI stock and I even live in Canada but I still can't find an AIW Radeon that was promised in early September. I even saw an interview with the ATI PR saying that they will not be delayed and promised to have them fully stocked everywhere by the end of September. But to say that the RADEON MAXX 128MB, is to be released in late October is to be taken with a grain of salt.
