ATI XGP external graphics for laptops

How exactly does it connect to the notebook? USB doesn't provide enough bandwidth does it?

EDIT: Just realized, it needs specific laptops I guess with the extra connector.

Thats going to start a notebook revolution if they can find some way to effectively produce a docking station below the laptop. And doing this they would have to make some really low power 3650 or possibly 3850.

It'll use a new type of external PCIe connection, believed to be an 8x PCIe 2.0 link.

it shouldn't be hard to include a PCIx16 slot on laptop motherboards. all they'd need to do after that is include an extending conenction to the outside of the laptop. the card can just sit outside of the laptop and get better temps than video cards inside of our PC cases
