yes thats a cheap price, but that heatsink looks like paper and will burn up in a day. Also its a refurb lowering the value as well, to say=$136 😛

The X800XL is a very cool running card and does not need a large heatsink.

Umm, I got one of these running next to me and the temps run straight up to 90C as soon as it starts to do any work. Not OC either. Cheap price though. I thought I stole it for $200 a year ago.

90C is too high for normal use. Maybe your case isn't vented right or your heatsink isn't attached correctly.

Nice price. They also have a sapphire crossfire edition refurb for 150. Cheap and powerful crossfire. I get ~ 9600 on 3DMark05 on my x800xl crossfire setup. No PS 3.0, but it is still a great setup.

9600 on 3D '05 is sweet. Is that OC'd or at stock settings?

I scored an x800xl for $99 + ship used, tested and known to be working. My concern however is no software- the refurb might not have it either. ati Tool I believe it is- overclocking utility. Help us guys without the nice software! Anyone know a link to DL ati Tool? I don't suppose it need vary as per third-party vendor (e.g. Sapphire, PowerColor, Connect3D, etc)?

Oh wow you're so smart! I never thought of that!
Googling showed more than a handful of betas exist, I was looking for someone to recommend one they hold near and dear- and oh yeah there was a reported worm in beta9 or so I read yesterday- hence placing my faith in (kind) forum members and not google.
