I just got the card and started playing Farcry I noticed it wasn't doing what I thought it should, so I stoped and ran 3dmark05 and got 2250 which from what I understand is low for this card (by half or more). Any way my brother has a 6800GT and there is a radial button in the software that you can disable to stop the card from running both monitors in 3D while gaming, which helps alot, is there something simular with the ATIs? Do you have any suggestions on where to start trouble shooting?

cud try formatting windows, for a fresh start.

edit, also try Atitool, google it, to check your card running at 520/560 with 16 active pipelines. Id guess a driver issue, have you had a different card in there efore hand? have you installed all your motherboards chipset drivers?

Sounds like chipset drivers weren't installed prior to Catalyst. Run>dxdiag on the display tab make sure you DX features are all enabled.

Well I downloaded the ATItool, and here it is pic 1 & pic 2. I don't know what I should be getting fps here, and I also can't see where to see if all the pipelines are open. The clock looks good, it is even OCed a little. As far as all the divers they are all installed, all the way to DX9c, every thing looked as if it where enabled.

My x800xt PE scores about 5800 in 3dmark2005 without any overclocking. You shouldn't need to o/c this card anyway. Unless you're forcing 4xFSAA/16 Aniso for everything, I'd say this is a software issue. Try reinstalling the chipset again with the Cat 8.07 betas. The 8.07 contains the 256mb bug fix which should bump up your fps a little bit.

OK I think I have found my culpret. It isn't the Video card rather the CPU!!! I looked though the Results details in 3D mark and compaired them with another decent system,

Mine:
3500+ (s939)
x800XT PE
1GB XMS

Brothers
3000+ (s754)
6800GT
512 GB Kingston-Value

My CPU score

Test1 30.9 FPS
Test2 2.2 FPS

Brothers

Test1 82.3 FPS
Test2 12.0 FPS

I am currently reinstalling everything, maybe something went wrong.

Maybe you should just buy an Alienware. I hear they optimize everything to the nth degree...........................................
