ATI X800 XT AGP 8X Discontinued?

I am in market for buying the X800XT AGP 8X Version. But I was browsing through the ATI website and found that the X800 XT isn't listed anymore under the X800 series biblography. I don't want to buy the card if ATI is going to/has discontinue/discontiued the card. Maybe one of you guys know.

with the impending release of the x850's I would assume so, availability wasn't ever that high to begin with.

edit- I mean bba x800xt's, I'm sure some other vendors will continue to sell them for awhile.

No, the X800XT (non PE) is supposed to be available. I wouldn't check the ATI website though - check online stores because their partners all should have X800XT's, like ASUS, Sapphire, Gigabyte, Crucial, etc.

That is the reason I was confused. I was going to order the Gigabyte X800 XT which is just ~$450 & if I buy it I am sure I can overclock it to the PE speeds. But ATI website doesn't show the word "X800 XT" anymore. I was taken back to thinking that do they have a production problem or they just gonaa stop X800 XT and replace it with X850 XT as AnandTech says?
In any regards, would a Gugabyte X800 XT be a good buy? I compared it with Sapphire's option, & it has more software to it than Sapphire. Plus also, if I buy it from the partners, will I be able to access the overdrive feature? I have a 9600 XT and it is powered by ATI (not built) so doesnt support overdrive? Thanks for all the help guys.

Here is the page you wanted. I just typed-in "X800 XT" and found it.

Eventually, ATI will discontinue the X800 XT, (all products are eventually discontinued). How soon I don't know. But, as jiffylube1024 said, ATI will still have to support the X800 XT (for technical issues and warranties, ect).

If you are looking for a "Built by ATI" card than you can also buy the HIS (Hightech Information Systems) Excalibur X800 XT IceQ II 256MB. HIS uses a "factory" ATI-built X800 XT as a base and adds the Arctic Cooling ATI 4 cooling system and voila! you get the HIS Excalibur X800 XT IceQ II 256MB!

I have the PE (Platinum Edition) version of thew card, which Super PC Mart sold out of a couple of months ago. No big deal - the only difference between the X800 XT PE and non-PE X800 XT is that the PE runs a 520MHz core speed and a 1,120MHz memory speed, while the non-PE X800 XT runs a 500MHz core and 1,000MHz memory speed. The performance difference is only about 5% at most. The only bogus thing about the HIS card is that HIS only gives a 1-year warranty. (ATI provides a 3-year warranty and I believe Sapphire gives a lifetime warranty). I have to say though, that I've never had a videocard go bad from heavy usage either.

Now I've posted similar messages about 5 times in the last week about Super PC Mart and they've sold 5 cards within that period. I should get some referral money from them! So, here is a link to Super PC Mart's page on the HIS Excalibur X800 XT IceQ II 256MB:

Also, here is a review of the X800 Pro IceQ II VIVO and the X800 XT LE (Limited Edition/Platinum Edition):

Lastly, heres a close up of the card showing the cooling system and exhaust bracket:

Hurry, only four left as of this post (5:51PM PST).

Even if the X800XT doesn't hit PE speeds (an it probably will - the clocks are so close) it doesn't matter -they are about 5% apart in performance.

The X800XT AGP is a necessary product for the moment because the X850's are PCI-e only.

And yes, the regular, plain jane X800XT is a good buy. It's right up there with the fastest cards. It's also definately faster than the X800 Pro by a good margin too, because of the 16 pipelines vs 12 on the X800 Pro.
