You're right about the GT coming down in price. Since the XL came out, Ive seen the price drop on it about $30. The BFG version was $430 at Monarch a few days ago, not sure if it still it. It was a lot more than that. Which is a win, win for everyone.

looks like ATI is choosing the retailers over the customers with the XL like they did with the 850XT, it'd be nice to know if they are actually going to flat out cancel the preorders so I can go and just pick one up from a store. Heck, waiting the extra weeks isn't worth it over just picking it up at a store, I'd like to know WHEN they plan to finally fulfill their preorders, IF they even do so.

i wouldnt be surprised if they cancel it like hte X850XTs

I was shopping at Fry's today and they had many X800XL's in stock for $299.99 so I bought one!
