How did you find the direct link to that card?

It seems if you browse for it on compusabusiness.com, it will come up with the same card for $299.99

But if you click on the link in the first post, it comes out to the $272 version

*shrug*

Looks like it's back in stock again?

Mine still hasn't shipped. I ordered mine at 11:56AM EST. What time did you order yours? I think I have a slow warehouse on my side of the country, or these are only available on the west side of the country. 🙂

if you do a search for just "X800" or "X800 XL" you'll find the lower priced one. But if you search for "X800XL" just the higher (and misnamed) one comes up.

That's weird. Why would they have two separate versions, one for $299 and one for $272. At first I thought compusabusiness was just cheaper in general, but guess not.

Could it be that it's a OEM version everyone is buying for 272?

 
Its already at my door! They shipped it last night, and I ordered 2 day shipping, and Fedex already delivered it! Unfortunately I'm at work, but at least its there. 🙂 Amazing. I did not think it would come that quick. I figured by Thursday at the earliest if they really had them in stock.

I ordered ground and it hasn't shipped yet. The order status shows: "Usually Ships In: 1 - 2 Business Days" in the description still, so hopefully it will ship today.

I ordered before it went OOS yesterday, when it still showed "1-2 day" on the product page.
 
Wow, mines already on the delivery truck and I just picked ground shipping.

Um, its more like ATI didn't come through BECAUSE of places like CompUSA, because ATI did come through, just to CUSA and not the customers. Those who preordered would have had their cards by now if ATI didn't prefer the middle-man to the customer...which is wierd, because you'd think ATI would make more money off of directly selling their cards to the customer. ATI needs to get their cards to the stores, not the online channels of other stores. They aren't gaining new customers by having CUSA sell out these cards online, because its the same people who preordered and were sick of waiting from ATI.

Backordered, I wonder if this means CUSA's order to ATI for more cards will also take precedence over those who preordered just like the first batch did...rediculous. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and put in an order through CUSA even though it is backordered and see which one arives first...

Good to know that it wasn't an OEM version.

I wonder why the cheaper price?

Also it seems that if you search for it on compusa.com, it's $299 but "coming soon"

If you search on compusabusiness.com, they have the $299 "in store" only, and some local stores have them in stock

The $272 just shows N/A =-(
 
Now that people have them in their hands, how is the performance. Are they running as well as the reviewers said?
