Which is the best for a HTPC? I guess I mean the least noisy/expensive. I have the 939Dual Sata2 from Asrokc so I can use AGP or PCIe. I believe that PCIe is better.

The HIS x800 has 256MB of GDDR3 where are the MSI X800 has just 128MB of DDR.
Also is there an inexpensive silent video card other than the Gigabytes?

I've had great success with the 6600GT in my HTPC. It worked without a hitch and it was a breeze to adjust the overscan. I don't know about the ATI counterpart for its ease of use in a HTPC environment.

Aiming for less noise, I would go with the Gigabyte (either one). If you choose the others, then I would recommend a third-party cooling solution if noise is an issue. Hope that helps.

Normally I'd chose the x800 as the best bang for the buck, but if you really want a silent pc and only do some light gaming (or none at all) then the passive cooled 6600gt would do the job fine.

Is that HIS card any good. The IceQ turbo cards are supposed to be great. I know the 6600gt would silent and the best for a HTPC but the other 6600gt's are about $30 cheaper. Are the Chaintech cards quiet? I heard the the MSI one was. I will not have totaly silent case so the getting a silent heat-pipe card maybe overkill when I can get an x800 for 150 with a $30 rebate or a 256MB version for 180 with a $20 rebate. I guess I really kind of courious about the HIS card.
