I was selected to be a beta-tester for BF2142. I'm not sure how but since installing the game I've had funking desktop issues. I use dual monitors and everytime I boot-up my system now, my previous desktop setting do not stick. My icons are everywhere and my primary monitor gets switched to my secondary monitor. My primary monitor also drops from 1920x1200 to 1600x1200(which my secondary monitor is set at).
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the 6.8 drivers(no issues prior to the beta 2142 install) to no avail. I can't reinstall windows without invalidating the beta key for 2142.
The only thing I've discovered is when looking at the video card properties is information under the Adapter Tab. For my primary adapter, it lists under Adapter String - Radeon X1900 Series Secondary. I wonder if this is the cause of my problems, as it shouldn't be Secondary.
Can someone with a X1900 series card provide me what they have listed under Adapter String for their primary adapter? You can find this by:
1. Right mouse click on Windows Desktop
2. Left mouse click on Settings
3. Left mouse click on Settings Tab
4. Left mouse click on Advanced Tab
5. Left mouse click on Adapter
Any help/thoughts are appreciated. Thx
