Please no flaming.

I wasn't sure if this belonged here, but I thought I would add it, with the fact that I have seen thread quality deteriorate tremendously here. To anyone that will be registering there to add their $.02, please keep the flames to a minimum. Unlike this board, the mods will call you out for being a flaming jackass, so try to keep the posts intelligent. And fanboys are welcome, as long as they present their warped opinion as just that, opinion...

Go ahead and flame away if you think this is in the wrong forum or think I am being an attention whore or whatever....

edit, btw: 10 points if you can guess which S/N is me on that board...

I like that noob that says the benchmarks are unfair because they're using an nForce 4 chipset. pfft, right dude.

Hey, lets post funny quotes from there. I'll start:

"See, this is what bothers me about those tests. Look at the mobo they are using for both cards. Quote »
Asus AN8-SLI Premium
NVIDIA nForce4 SLI, BIOS 1003 - BIOS version 1005

They are using a board that was built for NVIDIA cards to perform to their max."

LOL

What I find ironic is that the quality of the thread in the car forum far surpasses the quality of almost every thread in the video forum here @ AT.

Maybe it's because you have to be over 16 to drive a car or something?

Anyway, most of the opinions there seem reasonable.

ATI has been a bit behind, but they do offer single card solutions that are about as good as NV.

This time around, it seems you really can't go wrong with either company, although it is hard to beat the 6800GS and 7800GT in bang/buck.

10 points to you. But I am curious, did you cross reference my location in the two forums. Or was it my general level-headed informed posting. :D

BTW: I believe that tests have shown that nForce chipsets give a slight boost to nV video cards, but it's not like they can give the same boost to nV if they do not have tech specs. Also they do not give disadvantages to ATI cards, unlike what has been rumored. The bottom line is nForce is the definitive chipset for the Athlon64.

But DA9 is a "?" code for a '91 "?".

I am just curious, because it didn't seem that easy to me. Congrats to those that disagreed...

Btw, I got a kick out of reading vid card stuff on a car forum. I guess they get a little off-topic too. Funny how nobody is screaming for a lock like they do here on AT.

** edit, I just realised that the thread was in the computer gaming section of the forum. This makes me wonder, why dont we have a red headed stepchild section like that. I think we could call it the Pimp rides section.

Ding ding ding. DA9 is 90-93 Integra chassis code for RS, GS, and LS. DB9 is GS-R, which are pretty rare. And yes, it was refreshing to talk about video cards without the usual trollsgiving their opinion which is usually not required. However, they are slightly misinformed, so I guess it is a trade off.
