The standalone card has no drivers for XP, neither does the website, but would the MMC center XP drivers work? Anyone done this yet?

Yeah, it works... you just install the drivers that come with MMC 7.1. It works great on my system.

I also have the same problem with my ATI TV-Wonder VE and WinXP. I open the MMC and I get scrambled video but the sound works fine. I got around the problem by doing this:

1. Open MMC (double click on the TV icon)
2. As soon as the MMC logo pops up open Internet Explorer. Explorer must come up before the MMC TV window is on screen.
3. problem solved. The video looks perfect.

It's really wierd. ATI really needs to produce better drivers. What happened to all their driver developers?? I remember back in the day when ATI made rock solid drivers (remember the Graphics Pro Turbo, etc).

Well I hope these steps help you get around the problem.

Thanks for the link. Such as round-about way of installing the MMC drivers. I hope it works because there are so many things you have to do to actually get the darn thing working in XP.

With the version 7.1 MMC and WDM drivers all you have to do is hold down the CTRL key while you double click and load the TV application. This will make it so that you don't have scrambled video.

With the beta ver sion v.7.6.b the scrambled video has been fixed. It is a royal pain to remove the old v.7.1 drivers and install the v.7.6.b drivers, but I eventually was successful. The problem with v.7.6.b is that I no longer have the option to schedule video recording from the scheduling menu. All that I can schedule is CD audio playback. Anyone have any ideas?
