Basically I bought a ATI TV WONDER USB 2.0 for use with my laptop. I'm trying to get reception of ANYTHING and having issues. I am running an updated version of the standard ATI software, and I was unable to get any channel reception in an area I know should be recieving stations. I have an antenna hooked up--the same kind which recieves 30+ stations about 2 feet down the hill from where I am--and about the same number of stations up the hill as well. I messed with the antenna broadcast standard settings and I'm now able to see 3 channels on the Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia standards. One of these channels is in perfect condition except for a lack of color and sound. As I did not touch the antenna at all during the broadcast settings modifications, it suggests my problem is with the software or the broadcast standard. Unfortunately there is no New Zealand standard available (which makes no sense as ATI does have New Zealand available in all the other media players included).
Any Ideas?
I'm currently trying to download SageTV and ShowShifter, but even if they work, they both cost extra to fix a problem that I shouldn't be having in the first place.
