ATI TV Wonder locking up machine during video capture, help!

I recently purchased an ATI TV Wonder Card, and it works fine, except for when I try to capture video in any format (ATI VCR, MPEG, etc.) it captures video for anywhere from 4 seconds to a minute, then always hard locks my machine. I have to yank the cord out of the wall to reset it. I made sure it wasn't sharing any IRQs, and tried putting it in different PCI slots, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Specs: P3 500, 512 MB RAM, 12x Plextor, Win98SE

it could be driver issues... are you using version 1.00 or 2.00 drivers and what's your video card? That TV has issues with tnt's and voodoo's that were fixed in 2.00. I haven't heard of that problem, but it sounds like a driver/video card conflict

what ati drivers are you running, and what motherboard? Also, there are a few inssues with certain detonator releses for Nvidia cards.

Also check to see if the bitrate on your capture settings is too high....you may have to lower the quality of captured video slightly to avoid crashing/freezing....
