ATI TV TUNER PROBLEM

this is an interesting problem that i have. i recently reformatted my system because it had alot of garbage on it. before i did, the tv tuner on my 9600 all-in-wonder was working fine. after reformatting and loading the latest drivers and my software, the tv tuner locks up after a couple hours of use. sometimes sooner, but i definitely can't watch longer than a few hours. the multimedia center app won't close although the system remains responsive. trying to shutdown or restart doesn't work as the system hangs at the xp shutdown screen. i tried loading an older driver, disabling startup programs, checking for patches, and have had no luck. supposedly there is a patch for tv tuner problems with p4 ht technology put out by microsoft; however, this is for people who don't have sp2 installed. i even went out and bought the 256mb 2006 all-in-wonder edition and am having the same problem. any ideas?

Have you updated your chipset drivers for your motherboard? You are using the 5.9 Catalyst drivers?
 
I installed the latest chipset drivers from the Intel site. The Catalyst drivers are the latest from the web site.
