Hey you all I purchased a fresh 9700pro AIW RMA card off a guy in the FS/FT forums. well I had it for a few weeks installed it finally about 3 weeks ago and guess what I've got Huge 1 inch veritical pink bars every 2 inches. and super corruption anytime I move a box side to side.

Should I have him RMA it or will I be ok? came back from RMA about 2 moths ago I am guessing.

Ack First ATI card I ever use and straight to the crapper in 3 weeks of use :( migth be time to upgrade or downgrade I just got an Xbox to game on. Damn it!

I never used ATI RMA service.

I need a

You'll probably have to rma it again.

Mine was a sapphire but I had to RMA it 2 times to get a good one back, the first RMA was bad & it took 6 weeks to get this POS.

The 2nd RMA thank god only took 3 weeks.

I had to RMA my 9800Pro a few months ago to ATi and despite it having to go to Canada from NY it took less then 2 weeks turn around. I was stunned it went so quick :)

Same problem too, screen corruption in games, then on the desktop and finally screen corruption would occur right from boot up.

I rma'd my aiw radeon (the original) becuase of a dead fan, they have a US address to ship to (either Buffalo or Niagra Falls, NY) so you won't have to fill out any customs forms assuming you live in the states, or you can ship it to their canadian address directly.

It took about 2-3 weeks and was shipped back overnight air. The card was replaced (different serial#) and so far has worked fine for the basic usage it recieves.

On a somewhat related topic, I had a sapphire 9500pro (similar design to 9700pro) that had a "memory leak" IE windows would slowly eat at the video cards memory until it got to the point that pictures/desktop icons would no longer display, I returned that card and bought a used 9700pro and it's still working great.

RMA'd my 9700AIW to the US dept and got a 9800 back in 2 weeks time and now I see that it can be hacked to 1 9800XT :D
ATI has always served me well for the last 7 yrs ;)

I was upgraded from a 9800 non pro to a 9800 pro with my RMA. :)

My rma was with Sapphire, probably the reason why it too so long for me.

they had to ship it to them overseas probably.:(
