I just installed WinXP Pro (clean install) on my girlfriend's computer (she has the A7V133 using an ATI ALL-IN-WONDER Rage Pro 128). Everything installed without a problem. Updated the drivers to the newest betas found on the ATI website. Installed fine--drivers are properly working according to Windows...HOWEVER, when I set the refresh rate for her monitor to 85Hz through Windows, everything still looks bright...sure enough, I check what her Sony 200ES is showing her refresh rate to be and it reports 60Hz. No matter what I change the refresh rate under Windows to, the monitor stays at 60Hz.
This was not a problem and never occured before (she was running WinMe). I thought this only happens during gaming. Oh well--looked for a thread on this issue and turned up nothing--anyone know of an ATI refresh rate fix or is that still wishful thinking??
Thanks guys.
EDIT: sorry guys--I'm running the latest offical (NOT BETA) drivers: 6.13.3279
