Was wondering how can i tell its running at 4x on my epox 8kta2. The only thing i've seen is threw sisoft!!!!

Under AGP Bus info
Bus speed 70hz
date transfer rate is 4x (280mhz)
side band enabled-yes
fast write enable-no
fast write support-yes
Aperture size 64md

What is fast write enable? Should this be enabled, if so how do i enable it?
I have 32meg ddr should abperture be 64

Should I trust Sisoft or is there a more accurate way of telling?
Thankyou for all your help

Download WCPUID from tweakfiles.com. It correctly identifies AGP mode. Mine was set to 4X in bios, but was running at 1X until I installed VIA agp gart driver in turbo mode.

Maddmax is correct, that`s what I use (WCPUID) click on the AGP info button on WCPUID program that will tell you.

🙂

I really wish an alternative to PowerStrip for overclocking the Radeon would become available. I really hate that program, and ain't gonna pay $29 for it (just to use it to overclock, it's really overkill).

On via MB almost posivtive you have to install 4in1 drivers in turbo mode to get 4x agp. I know I have a epox 8kta2 and if i don't install 4in1 my computers lock up just loading into windows with ati radeon 32 ddr drivers installed.

Via MB or picky

Okay, so I set it to 4x in the BIOS, reinstall Windows, install VIA 4-in-1 drivers, using turbo for the AGP drivers, and it's still 2x. I've tried many things, and have given up. Someone had a guide that says changing the Comp values would work, but I do not want to try going through every single one to get it to work at 4x, and performance wise it's not that much anyway.
