I have an HP Pavillion Media Center a1624n Desktop PC running Micr2osoft Windows XT Service Pack2,
After seeing Randy Pausch's lecture pn time management, I decided to get two monitors. I now have:
An improved 550W power supply.
An ATI Radeon HD 2600XT SB Edition with a PCIE 16 interface, 256MB of DDR3, and dual DVI out.
The video works fine two both LCD monitors, but there is no sound! :brokenheart:
It turns out that the video card has its own sound chip built in. The video card has replaced my original Realtec drivers (which worked fine) with its own "ATI HD Audio rear output" drivers which don't work
In neither the Device Manger nor the Contrlp Panel is there ny mention of Realtec.
How do I get my audio back?
