O'm looking at putting together a HTPC which would mainly be used for Blu-ray 3D Playback on a Acer H5360 3D DLP Projector and i want to know which card would be better. Just want to add that i will not be purchasing these a freind has them and is offering me one

I think the first card with Blu ray 3d support was the GT 220/240, so with both the hd2400 and the 8400GS you will need a fast CPU...

as for HD2400 vs 8400GS, the 8400GS is probably faster and with better driver support, but if I remember well (using the G86) it was quite unreliable but some newer 8400GS use newer revisions and even a the GT210 GPU (if that's the case it could support blu-ray 3d I think),

Yes, I don't think that either one of those cards actually supports Blu-Ray 3D playback over HDMI. I recently purchased both an EVGA GT610, and an EVGA GT620, from Newegg, for $14.99 AR each, and the GT610 specs on Nvidia.com specifically list support for 3D Blu-Ray playback (With appropriate software.)

Watch newegg as the GT610 and the 6450 will drop to $9.99 AR every so often. Both of those will handle Blu-Ray just fine.
