Please get one for my dying friend. He has leukemia and AIDS and elephantitis, and I think getting one of these for cheap would really make his day. :D

Newegg's new interface makes it really easy to pick a free gift with purchase. That's pretty cool!

Appreciate the offer. Could you get it to me by weeks end?

Any idea how loud those are? I'm currently using a Ti48000 with a zalman cooler, so it's silent and I'm worried about my rig starting to sound like a jet engine again.
Do you know if the 9800XT is more silent? I heard it's got a larger/slower fan and thermal fan control, which the 9800ro doesn't have I believe.

I just picked one up from Best Buy this weekend, which has a nice instore advertisement that the Radeon 9800 PRO (not XT) version also comes with HL-2. However, none of the pro boxes have the sticker on the outside, and there wasn't one in my box.

I wrote a complaint to Best Buy corporate, but I really doubt that will fix anything. The noobs at the store are clueless.

False advertising is great.

I had the same problem. Bought my 9800 Pro on Nov. 26th from BB, supposed to get HL2 with it, but they still haven't been able to figure out how I get it. I've spent 3 hours on the various help lines and in-store and they still haven't solved my problem. If anyone has gotten through this issue, please post how you did it. Despite this, still a decent deal for $269.99 (used the 10% off coupon).

My Best Buy said that the 10% coupon was not applicable for computer components such as video cards. You got your BB to accept the 10% off?

That doesn't seem legit. Wonder if I can get the 10% applied some how.

I bought it on Nov. 26th, then got the 10% coupons good from Dec. 5-7. I just brought it in and pricematched it on the 5th, and they took $30 off and took my coupon. I don't know if this is what they were supposed to do, but they didn't give me a hard time or anything.

When I got the 10% coupon and brought the video card, they had to put it under "computer accessories" to take the 10% off.
