There were about 20+ in the peripheral display case in the MC B&M in Fairfax, VA at 7pm 8/12.
It should also be known that the Visa deal is ONLY valid for B&M purchases as you need to apply for the card in-store.
They've also dropped the price of the Iceberq BGA pure copper RAMsinks to 14.99 down from the 17.99 they used to be.
REMINDER - The 179.99 price should be considered NET. Treat the $50 off certificate as an MIR as it's valid on your next purchase! If you get it before the 29th, you could return your initial purchase and rebuy a new card - but that's placing a LOT of trust in their processing department and the US Postal Service.
Additionally, I advise you all to read the fine print about the $50 certificate as it is only good for 90 DAYS from date of issue.
The 20% off ATI and eVGA cards has already happened this year, as well as the famous 20% off digital cameras deal. There IS a chance of the 20% off all Western Digital drives before 12/31/04 but again, it's a gamble.
NOTE: For those that don't know, Micro Center holds a few hotly anticipated deals that seem to recur at different times each year, but recur FAITHFULLY. These are:
20% off all ATI and eVGA cards (usually also includes Mad Dog - but who cares about them) (hit last April/May)
20% off all Digital Cameras (has already occurred)
20% off all Western Digital hard drives (HASN'T taken place yet)
Their price on the 74GB Raptor is inflated at 259.99, which means even with 20% off and this certificate it would still be flirting with the deals that have already existed from Newegg.
That being said, don't make the certificate your sole reason to buy this card - chances are you might be spending it on crap if no good deals happen 90 days after you receive it. You can always hold out for end-of-the-year/holiday sales at this point, but again, it's a gamble.
