Wow, must be gone already. Darn, would have been smoking hot for my 2nd PC and maybe my little brother's.

Are you sure that's a 9800 pro? All similar priced cards in there aren't in the same league as a 9800 pro, and if you scroll down the 9700 pro is going for $59.

I think they're still available CKDragon. Might want to try the ops directions again. I could be wrong though.

Heh, yea. I noticed my mistake and ordered very quickly. It also let me order only 2... hmm, hope their system isn't screwed up and let us order the same 2.

Thanks for the deal,

CK

I dont think so plus they have a pretty cool policy on in stock items.
In Stock?
Everyday, customers call us to ask one question. "Do you have it in stock?"
If we advertise a part on our site, then the answer is yes! We guarantee it. We do not claim to have thousands of different line items in stock. We know it?s practically impossible. Many sites advertise parts that they only order from the manufacturer (or from companies like ours) after you make a purchase. With them, you never get the best price, and you never get the fastest shipments. Centrix International buys in quantity and passes the savings on to you. In most cases, 50+ pieces are available.

In Stock or it's FREE! Terms & Conditions

What about the 9700 Pro for $60? Seems like a good price. I'm thinking of upgrading from my nV 5500. wouldn't be a pretty good performance boost for not too much $$?
Any comments?

yes i have a comment
i think both cpus and gpus done got as good as they gone get
that is why the budget cards are so cruddy now
they can't get better, because they will then make the flagship cards look not worth the money
that is why only new games will look better on new hardware
by then the developers have been conned into creating new bloated useless features to justify people buying new computers/computer accessories/supporting bill gates' and other ceos children
edit: i mean i think the 9700 pro is pretty okay for $60

I agree it is a good deal if they work. ;)

The 9800Pro is a little faster than the 9700Pro but not by much.

I have 2 9800pros and 2 9700pros from Crucial refurb. They are very close in performance. I like them for what they do.
They play BF2 very well with high and med settings if you have a decent computer that is.

I will try the 9700Pro from here and see whats up.

people who sell 'items bought in excess' with the intent to sell on on eBay for profit in mind are scum. and if it causes others, who genuinely need the product for personal & private applications, the misfortune of seeing it as "sold out/unavailable".....those eBayers should be diagnosed with cancer (along with their loved ones).

Gee, a little harsh isn't it? Getting the death penaty for selling excess items on eBay?:disgust:
I don't necessarily agree with the practice but this a capitalistic society. First come, first served.
