ati radeon 9800 dual display help

Just built a new computer, nothing too extreme but great for me. here is my only issue:

my old computer had an nvidia 4400mx (i think) but in dual display i could use both the monitor and the svid out to tv and have them active at the same time, was a great feature for my set up.

My new computer i have an ati 9800pro i have a gateway lcd on dvi and svid to the tv with the newest catalyst drivers. i can only switch between the displays with alt f5, am i missing something? can i have them both on at the same time?

Thanks

can i have them both on at the same time?

Definately, DVI + TV-out is a supported configuration. Should be easy to set up using the Display Manager wizard in Catalyst Control Center.

Thats what i thought also, but cant seem to do it.. only can get them to switch back and forth, so i know that individually both are set up correctly.

Need info from someone who has done it, otherwise this card has to go so i can go back to nvidia

I've done it. In CCC dispays manger, advanced view, you should be able to drag the TV icon up and drop it in the secondary monitor box and then pick either extended, clone or span modes for the TV display.

You can also enable it from the tray icon or by the windows display properties. If not, I suspect a driver issue of some sort the most likely culprit.
