I found a 9600 Radeon for less than $70 at newegg and its new. Is that a good deal? and is it better than my GeForce 4 Ti4400?

Its the 9600SE

Searched the web for ATI Radeon 9600SE review. Results 1 - 10 of about 11,700. Search took 0.21 seconds.
You could actually run 411428 such searches in a given 24 hour period, but I suppose that's beside the point.

Horrible card. If you want an decent upgrade you're going to need to spend closer to $170 for a card, otherwise don't bother.

Radeon 9600 is by no means a horibble card. With AA/AF on, it is faster then a gf4 ti4600. But there are better cards for it's price.

The sapphire radeon 9600 is one of the best i've seen, the passive cooling makes it a unique solution for quiet computers. And you're right, its' performance is nothing to scoff at. But like it was said earlier, if you're gonna "upgrade" plan on dishing out anywhere from $160-240

The card he's talking about is a 9600se. I'd be highly surprised if that thing could ever touch a ti4600.
