ATI Radeon 9500/9500 Pro benchmark at Chip.de

Been saying that for a while...I'd prefer the PRO version, though.

Edit: I've heard the 9500 will debut at $179...dunno if that's the PRO version or not.

I thought all 9700's were 9700 Pro. I didn't know there were regualr 9700's.

The current ones are all Pros (325/620), it's probably a new lower clocked version. That might also be interesting if there's a significant price difference with the Pro...

At a ~$100 less with the current 4600 prices if the 9500 starts at $179

and how do you know if the current 4600 prices will remain the same by the time this card reaches the shelves? It could drop below $200.

Looks like a card for every budget and performance level, from the 9000 up to the 9700, they ran a 9700 with DDR2 on tech TV last night as well. Nice job ATI...now bring on the AIW 9700 pro already!

i wonder how well the 9500 will do compared to the ti4600 in FSAA and AF. afterall, the 9500 has a 128 bit memory bus, just like the geforce4.

The top of the line gf4 is being compared now to ATI's budget card ...... I think that is all that matters. Not price.

There needs to be more than one benchmark before I decide whether or not I would like the card. There aren't even two benchmarks showing performance under the two different 3D APIs out there. However, if performance under other applications remains similar relative to the Ti4600 ATi could have a big seller on their hands. If it is to truly debut at $179 in the very near future, that would be great. Especially since the street price is always significantly lower than the MSRP.

nv30 is coming.. and somethign else is too ! 😀

btw.. where da hell is that 3dlab 'secret-weapon' ? .. i haven't heard anything about it after anand's article.. it said it was aiming for professional market at first.. but no news ?

and it'd be great if ati could solve those nagging bugs w/ 9700 series.. i heard all those are apparently happening w/ 9500 series

What is coming besides NV30? What bugs with the 9700/9500? Please, oh sage, enlighten us!

yeah there's this huge bug on the ATI cards...its called the Catalyst driver 😉 j/k

actually I dunno what bugs this village idiot is talking about, and I bet 3dlabs "secret weapon" will be about as cool as Matrox's "secret weapon" was
