YMMV but you might be able to pull this off and get the AIW for 99 after MIRs and PMs

Have CUSA pricematch to BB's price for 199. The one BB sells is the 64M/DV version but if you have a CSR that doesn't really know the difference, you might be able to score the AIW for 99. I was able to sucessfully do this back in November when CUSA was running the same promo.

FYI, if this promo is the same as the November one, both rebates ask for original UPCs. Just send a UPC copy to the "Bonus 50" one with a note saying that you sent the the original UPC with the other rebate form.

Thanks for the info! Stopped by a local Cr@pUSA and got a very nice sales rep who showed me tomorrow's flyer. I also picked up the card with the two rebates (they go to the same place so you can send them in together with one UPC) but I have to go back tomorrow to get the instant $50 cause the sale isn't until tomorrow.

DO NOT BUY THIS, DO NOT DO IT, the MIRs are a scam, I bought one in October and never got the rebate, they all went to New Rochelle BTW. I did call, they told me to re-send the rebate, original UPC and all. When I told them I had sent the UPC with the rebate the first time they said "well, have a nice day" and that was it.

Why don't you call them about it? Sometimes it just takes a phonecall. If you are depending on $100 worth of rebates, its worth the 2 seconds it takes to make a photocopy of everything you send and certify it. I've never had a rebate that hasn't come in; Just keep your paper work and cross them off your list when they come in, otherwise follow-up.

Anyways, this is a nice deal, don't forget to check at BB on the shelf, as they often PM CompUSSR on Sunday as a competitive reaction. Use your 10% off preferred customer coupons and it could be even cheaper.

BB prolly won't have both rebates.

I did this deal back then also. I got both the rebates. It was about a month and a half wait time.

I agree with Chizow, call them up. They have your money. Get it back.

Unless, of course you don't have proof. Then all you have to complain about is learning a lesson.:(

Anyone know if Cr@pUSA price matches online retailers such as buy.com? They've got the 8500 AIW for $259.99...thought I'd give it a shot.

BB won't have the rebates, they'll just mark their price down to CompUSA's advertised price, AFTER rebates :)

They've done it on about a dozen different occasions, particularly with HDDs and ATI cards (I got my Radeon 9700pro for $349 - 10% coupon - ~$120 of unwanted BB GCs :) ).

right, that's my real concern. the bottom line is can I make an online purchase at compusa.com and still be eligible for receiving the rebates?

Just placed the order online. Nothing like coming home at 3am from clubbing and letting my drunk ass near my credit card. Both rebates online and available. Have fun.

Dude, I used to do the same thing when I was a little younger (2 years ago). I'm just glad I didn't know about AT Hot Deals Forum back then, just given the amount of stuff I bought looking for deals on my own.

I see the online price is already updated with the $50 instant rebate, but will online purchase be eligible for both rebates? Rebate forms only mention COMPUSA STORES. It'll be too risky for $100, isn't it?

I read both rebates and they say original UPC Symbol, it is a bit estrange since they are advertised by Compusa.

Granorense,

I just want to post the same thing you discovered. I don't know how I can mail the original UPC to two different rebates even they have same PO BOX?

The online price is marked as "$149.99 after rebates", so yes you can use them online. Also the reason that both rebates say orginal UPC I think is because they are the exact same form. The only difference is that the second rebate says "Bonus" in the upper left hand corner. Just send the original UPC with the first rebate and a copy with the second along with a note saying the original went with the first rebate form.

Hmmmmmm......is this a hangover or my brain exploding from the money I send because of this forum.

Does this one works with digital cable or analog only? How about if you got a satellite dish?
Thanks.
