Currently I have a Voodoo 5, and run mostly in XP. How much of a preformance boost should I expect to see in FPS in games (ie RTCW).

The Radeon 7000 is not a gaming solution, if you want a gaming card...you want a different card, period.

Your best bet is to keep the Voodoo card, get the beta WinXP drivers and save up for a better card like a GF3 or Radeon 8500 minimum if games are important to you.

None. You'll see a performance drop almost straight across the board.
The R7000/VE is an entry level office/multi-monitor graphics chip.

It's not much of a gaming solution at all, your looking at performance between that of the GF2 MX200 and GF2 MX400.

For a true performance upgrade you'd best look towards a Radeon 7500/GF2 Pro/Ti at minimum.

The R7000 is a damn nice card, with some solid capabilities at a great price point.... but it's extremely poor at best as a gaming board.

Get a GeForce4 or if money is an issue, try at least the GeForce 3. Those are ~100 bucks.

Only get a Radeon 7000 if you want a cheap multidisplay card with TV-out. Trust me, you can't really play any 3D games on it at a decent speed.
