<< 256 megs of memory! 800 mhz ddr! 12.6 gb/s bandwidth! That all sounds wonderful! But doesn't 256 at this point of time sorta sound like overkill? After all, 128 boards JUST came out

Just wanted to point out that they didn't say 256 MB RAM, they said, 256 Bit Memory. This refers to the width of the data path I think, not the amount of RAM. I wouldn't expect to see an R300 card with more than 128 MB DDR.
